Meet at One for the Road in the Market at 1.00pm.

The 125 Stagecoach bus runs regularly, every 15 minutes during the day from Bolton Interchange which will take us to Bunburys and then on to Horwich. Adult bus fares are £2 per journey but as we stop off at Bunburys a System One ticket for £5 is the best price.

Meet at Winckley Street Ale House at 1.00pm. There are trains from Bolton at 11.22 and 11.53. Trains only running to Buckshaw Village when there is a rail replacement bus. Arrival time will be 12.27 and 12.57 for the trains mentioned. There is the 125 bus from Bolton to Preston which runs regularly. The journey time from Bolton is just over 90 minutes.

Meet at Bunbury’s at 2.00pm. Buses 125 and 501 run regularly from Bolton Interchange along Chorley Old Road to Bunbury’s. The social will continue along Chorley Old Road so anyone without a bus pass will need an all day ticket allowing them to jump on and off the bus. Bus 501 does not travel any further than Church Road.

Travel to Wigan by bus or train depending on which is easiest. We will meet in Wigan Central at around 13.00 for a beer or two before visiting some, or all, of the pubs listed below. If catching the train from Bolton Station trains leave at 12.32 or 12.48 arriving 12.49 and 13.06 respectively (off peak return fare £6.20). At present there are no dates for strikes beyond the beginning of January so please check before going for the train. Catch the 575 bus from Bolton at 11.50 (12.10) calling at the Crown, Horwich at 12.17 (12.37) arriving in Wigan at 12.53 (13.13) Later bus in brackets

Meet at 1.00 pm at the Shepherds Hall Ale House.  Pubs to visit can include those listed below or if anyone has a suggestion of a good pub we can visit.  Trains from Bolton leave at 12.22 and 12.54 arriving at Chorley at 12.40 and 13.08 respectively.  The fare is £6.50 return.  125 buses leave Bolton Interchange from stand P every 10 minutes with the journey taking just under one hour.  A  Lancashire Day Rider costs 8.50. which would allow a stop off in Horwich on the way home if required.
