December Presentation Evenings
As the year draws to a close we have two double presentation evenings.
Altrincham
First on Friday 9th December there are the presentations in Altrincham.
Between 8.00 and 9.00 the Cheshire Tap will be presented with the award for “Most Improved Pub”.
Then we amble across the road to the “Craftsman” where between 9.30 and 10.30 we will be presenting the award for “Best Newcomer”
Urmston
Then on Tuesday the 13th of December its off to Urmston.
Here we visit Prairie Schooner Taphouse between 7.30 & 8.30 when they will be presented with the “Best LocAle Pub” award,
Then a short trip to the Lord Nelson who are winners of the “Best Community Pub” who will receive their award between 9.00 and 10.00PM

Asset of Community Value Progress Chart
Getting Pubs listed as an Asset of Community Value is a key Campaign. The branch has been concentrating on pubs which could be “at risk”. The table below shows the current progress.

Chorlton Challenge 2016
Chorlton Challenge 2016
Friday 18th & Saturday 19th November 2018
The Chorlton Challenge is the annual survey of Chorlton’s 28 pubs and bars which serve cask ale – an increase of two on last year.
Spread over two days, the challenge is to visit all 28 pubs but if you can’t make the full weekend just drop in when you feel you can to support your local pubs. If you know the area then it may be a chance to visit pubs you don’t regularly go to.

The Flag Inn Beer Festival
The Flag Inn, Bromley Cross, will be holding a beer festival this month.
The event will run from 27 – 30 October, featuring 16 cask ales over the duration of the festival.
Breweries include: Weetwood, Bank Top, Kirby Lonsdale, Saltaire, Partners , Salamander
and Phoenix. There is a 25p discount for card-carrying CAMRA members.
Live music on Saturday, and food available every day until 9pm.
