Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival 2018
We are please to confirmed the dates for Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival 2018.
The 14th annual festival at St Clement’s Church will be held on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July 2018.
Organised by St Clement’s in association with Trafford & Hulme CAMRA, the grounds and buildings of the Edge Lane church will be filled with over 200 different real ales, craft beers, world beers, ciders and perries. UK beers will be split between the church hall and the youth centre with ciders, perries and world beer bars in the grounds. Thursday evening will be a quiet preview night while Friday and Saturday evenings will see the grounds filled with live music. Opening times are:
- Thursday 12th July: 6pm – 10.30pm
- Friday 13th July: 6pm – 10.30pm
- Saturday 14th July: 1pm – 9.30pm
Entry prices are being held same as 2017. Advance tickets are expected to go on sale on 1st May 2018.
The festival will be hosting the North West round of the Champion Speciality Beer Of Britain competition, the winner of which will go forward to London’s Olympia to be judged in the finals of the CAMRA Champion Beer Of Britain competition.
The festival charity for 2018 will once again be Reach Out To The Community. Stocks Hotel, Walkden re-opens
Have been reliably informed that Stocks Hotel has re-opened. It has a new Manager, Danny Howell, and has Holt’s Bitter and Two Hoots on hand pump, both @ £2.30 a pint. Just beer at the moment, however food to be introduced later. Other guest beers planned are Moorhouses, Phoenix, and Bank Top.
